With complex technology and a varied audience, ShotSpotter needed their website to clearly explain the benefits for police officers, community members, and government officials.
Could we use behavioral science in the site architecture & design of their new site to ensure their message was getting across to everyone?
We looked at the analytics to see which of their pages was getting the most traction and organized the site architecture to start with pages that were clicked on most to reduce friction for the user.
In our designs, we highlighted statistics that would appeal to the user’s rational brain. As a means of social proof, we included testimonials from police chiefs and government officials from various sized towns and cities and created a “like me” effect.
